Sunday shooting leaves one dead, one injured

Authorities in Chattanooga are investigating a Sunday shooting that left one man dead and another injured, according to a news release.

At 10:16 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Lyerly Street after a report of shots fired. When investigators arrived, they found a “vehicle with multiple bullet holes and no victims around,” the release stated.

About an hour later, authorities were notified that a 24-year-old man showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. At 3:15 a.m., a 32-yearold man was brought to a local hospital with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead, according to investigators. The cause of the incident is not known.
