Oilfield services company Baker Hughes delivers its weekly tally of U.S. oil and natural gas rigs today.

Last week, the number of rigs rose to 714. That included 563 rigs exploring for oil and 149 seeking natural gas. The number of active rigs has been rising amid stronger demand for oil and gas and worries about supply constraints due to sanctions on Russian energy exports over its invasion of Ukraine.
