Woman dies after crash on Bonny Oaks Drive

Chattanooga police say they are investigating after a 67-year-old woman died on Thursday morning after her car sideswiped another vehicle and then crashed into a utility pole.

According to a news release, the woman was driving east on Bonny Oaks Drive when her Ford hit a Toyota headed in the same direction. She then lost control, slid off the road and crashed into a utility pole.

She was later pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

The cause of the crash is unknown and under investigation.
