RINGGOLD - Walter “Walt” “Grumpy” Klause Stansell, 67, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

A lifelong resident of the LaFayette, Ringgold area, he was a member of Midway Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon. Grumpy was a former employee of U.S. Pipe where he worked for 25 years, owner/operator of Grumpy’s Custom Rides for the past 15 years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Stansell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rhonda Shrader Stansell of Ringgold, GA.; mother, Barbara Andrews Stansell of LaFayette, GA.; two brothers, Mike (Anne) Stansell of LaFayette, GA., and Steve Stansell of LaFayette, GA.; aunt, Polly Collins of Chattanooga, TN.; and four nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 14, 2021 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Pastor Jackie Swanson officiating.
