John Mulaney, wife Anna Marie Tendler are divorcing

After being married for six years and together for over a decade, John Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler have called it quits.

The news of the couple’s split comes after Mulaney, 38, checked himself into rehab late last year as he continued to struggle with alcohol and drug abuse. In February, he entered outpatient sober care.

He allegedly asked for the divorce three months ago just as he checked out of rehab.

“I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,” Tendler said through her spokesperson. “I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”

Mulaney has already announced upcoming tour dates, marking his first performances following his rehab stint. The tour, titled, “John Mulaney: From Scratch” kicked off with a five-day residency at Manhattan’s City Winery from Monday to Friday. All five shows sold out.
